Understanding the Full Moon

The full moon is the most visible and emotionally charged point of the lunar cycle. It marks the moment when the moon is fully illuminated, standing directly opposite the sun. Energetically, this is a peak. Whatever has been building, growing, or quietly forming beneath the surface reaches a moment of clarity here.


In spiritual traditions across cultures, the full moon has long been associated with awareness, revelation, and heightened sensitivity. It is not about beginning something new. That role belongs to the new moon. The full moon is about seeing. Seeing what is working, what is draining you, what feels complete, and what is asking to be released.


Because the moon governs tides, water, and subtle rhythms, it is closely linked to our emotional and intuitive bodies. Working with the full moon intentionally does not require elaborate rituals. It simply means slowing down and choosing to respond rather than react. When you create space for reflection and release during this phase, you move into the waning cycle lighter, clearer, and more grounded.

1. Full Moon Release Ritual with Black Salt

This ritual focuses on letting go of habits, emotional patterns, or energies that feel heavy or stagnant.


What you need

A small bowl

Black Salt

A piece of paper and pen


Steps

  1. Sit somewhere quiet and take a few slow breaths.

  2. Write down what you are ready to release. Be honest and specific.

  3. Place the paper in the bowl and sprinkle Black Salt over it.

  4. Say out loud or internally, “I release what no longer serves me.”

  5. Leave the bowl under the full moon for a few hours or overnight.

  6. The next day, discard the contents respectfully away from your living space.



2. Moon Water Ritual for Emotional Clarity

Moon water is a gentle way to work with full moon energy, especially for emotional balance and intuition.


What you need

A clean glass jar or bottle of water

Raw Moonstone


Steps

  1. Fill the jar with drinking water.

  2. Place the Raw Moonstone beside the jar or inside if you prefer.

  3. Set the jar under the full moon on a windowsill or balcony.

  4. Hold the jar and set an intention related to clarity or emotional healing.

  5. Leave it overnight.

  6. The next day, drink the water slowly or use it to cleanse your hands or face.


3. Shadow Reflection Ritual with Black Obsidian

This ritual supports honest self reflection and shadow work.


What you need

Raw Black Obsidian

Journal and pen


Steps

  1. Place the Black Obsidian in front of you or hold it in your hand.

  2. Take a few grounding breaths.

  3. Write in your journal responding to the question, “What am I avoiding right now?”

  4. Write without censoring yourself.

  5. Place the Black Obsidian on top of the journal for a few minutes once finished.


4. Emotional Healing Ritual with Rhodonite

This ritual focuses on compassion, forgiveness, and emotional release.


What you need

Raw Rhodonite

Journal or quiet space


Steps

  1. Hold the Rhodonite near your heart or place it on your chest.

  2. Breathe slowly and allow emotions to surface naturally.

  3. Journal if it feels helpful, focusing on understanding rather than fixing.

  4. Place the Rhodonite beside your bed overnight.



5. Aura Cleansing Candle Release Ritual

This ritual uses fire as a symbolic tool for release and energetic clearing.


What you need

Aura Cleanse Tealight Candle

A small piece of paper

Pen


Steps

  1. Write down one thing you are ready to let go of.

  2. Light the Aura Cleanse Tealight Candle.

  3. Place the paper safely beneath the candle holder or nearby.

  4. As the candle burns, visualize that energy dissolving and leaving your field.

  5. Let the candle burn completely.
